123 Lamp by Federico Floriani

Designed by Federico Floriani, the Italian industrial and graphic designer behind Cargo Collective, the 123 Lamp challenges the conventional idea of what a desk light looks like. Instead of a lightbulb, the lamp has a solid oak orb or tube embedded with LEDs. The wooden component can stand on wire legs or rest on the desk itself. The wire legs are painted black or mint green and come with matching electrical cord. Easily assembled and altered, the design speaks to contemporary desires for personal involvement and flexibility as well as abstraction.
