With its glossy, candy-apple red finish, the 1957 KR 201 Roadster is a diva among classic microcars. A Messerschmitt production, the model is a limited edition because of its sleek additions such as the snakeskin interior and piping along the car’s body. Not one to lose to others, this fiery ride breaks records in its class with an 87 mpg efficiency powered by the single, rear-wheel drive. The flashy character of the car conveniently seats two passengers in tandem within its convertible top. As much as we wish the Roadster were ours, it was just recently claimed at the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction for an impressive $103,500.
