A Beautifully Restored 18th Century Retreat in Puglia

Crystalline water, striking coastline, centuries-old farmland, naturally grown food. This is Puglia, located at Italy’s heel; just like the rest of the region, it contains natural and man-made wonders which are ready to be discovered. More than just a place to stay in this gorgeous region, the Masseria Angiulli Piccolo is a destination in and of itself. The 18th century vineyard house has been restored by its architect owners and it now blends traditional features and subtle contemporary elements. The seven bedrooms offer sleeping spaces for 12-13 people, and the entire property can be rented for a minimum stay of seven days during the summer moths.

More than just a place to stay in this gorgeous region, the Masseria Angiulli Piccolo is a destination in and of itself.

Inside, guests can admire the original vaulted stone ceilings and relax in the airy, open plan rooms filled with natural light. Stone flooring and walls keep the interior cool even through the heat of Italian summer days, while white paint and lightly colored furniture create a peaceful atmosphere full of brightness. The house has air conditioning and a state-of-the-art audio and visual system, with four bikes also provided to explore the area. The upper floor offers beautiful views over the surrounding valleys and the neighboring town of Grottaglie. Outdoors, guests can find a large swimming pool, a covered patio area, and a sunny courtyard. Natural features have been carefully maintained by generations over the years: 85-acres of vineyards, olive groves, fig, pear, pomegranate, and almond trees, along with lavender and organic vegetable gardens. The property also produces its own organic olive oil, soon to be available online. This private retreat is ideal for a memorable vacation in sunny Puglia and bookings can be made either on the official site. Images courtesy of Masseria Angiulli Piccolo.
