“Leisure” is a series of photographs documenting Sankt Peter-Ording’s beach in Germany. Captured by Hungarian photographer Ákos Major, the images were shot on Kodak film negatives, and they have a distant yet light look to them. The collection explores the beach and the surrounding town and country at various times of the day, juxtaposing construction with vacation. Looking through the pictures, one sees the amount of work that goes into creating a moment of leisure.
