Hazukashi House

The Hazukashi House by ALTS Design Office is a small home in Kyoto, Japan. An irregular pentagon, the two-story resembles a Monopoly house. Its simple exterior is painted white and features three stacked windows which lengthen the look. Inside, the living room has a high ceiling, following the stairs up to the second floor. The woody den and dining room is the heart of the design, and the smaller rooms branch off of this communal space. Throughout the house, angled door frames, interior windows, and nooks mirror the pentagonal shape of the house itself, bringing the whole design together.
