Sure, you’ve heard of a stool – what about a stool system? The creatives at Torafu Architects have traversed the realm of singularities to dream up the AA Stool System, a design that enables accordion-like aggregation of multiple seats. Fabricated from Canadian cedar, each module is like a miniature A-ladder, with legs angled specifically to allow perfect nesting. When several of these modules are pushed together, a structure similar to a bench is formed, and this versatility of unitization of the seat is what puts the “system” in the piece’s name.
