Adrian Skenderovic’s Refreshing Top-Shot Photography of Tourist Boats

View all 12 Photos

“Down the River” is a collection of vertical photography by Adrian Skenderovic. The series of top shots captures the scene of tourists enjoying Paris’s Bateaux Mouche excursion boats. Observing the people who are in France more or less just to look around, Skenderovic gains an uncommon look at a popular attraction. Some of his subjects even look back, seemingly smiling with a vacationer’s mix of tiredness and ease. From above, the photographer sees how the travelers huddle together and gets a fresh angle on the shapely, colorful design of the steamboats, ordinary yet decorated spaces where people and place meet.
