The Angolare Ducati S4R Monster Bike

A fierce custom Ducati bike designed with angular forms and a dynamic silhouette.

When the owner of a 2007 Ducati S4R Monster approached Benjie’s Cafe Racer to customize his baby, the workshop had to convince him to agree to the radical changes they had planned for the bike. Seeing the passion of the team for this project, the client accepted, with one condition: the bike could be any color, except yellow. With the client’s blessing, the team started the complex but fun process of transforming the standard bike into a one-of-a-kind ride. Named Angolare, this bespoke Ducati S4R Monster bike has gorgeous angular forms as well as dynamic lines.

Benjie’s Cafe Racer chopped the frame and removed 90% of the stock body work, but left the front part that showcases the Ducati trellis frame. At the back, the team shortened the subframe and positioned it a subtle angle. The new aluminum gas tank has the shape of an arrow’s tip and also features angular corners. The cowhide upholstered seat follows the dynamic lines of the gas tank and boasts a double square tail light. A small nook on the sides houses the yellow LED lights to keep the design more minimalist. To replace the stock exhaust from Arrows, the team built a custom stainless steel exhaust.

At the front, the bespoke bike features a custom speedometer with a built-in tachometer. A new aluminum case houses the headlight and the custom gauge. Other custom features include the clip-on stainless steel handlebars, footpegs, and fender as well as the radiator’s vented side covers. A beautiful dark blue and gray paint finish completes the build. Photographs©: Ben Chan and Dante Dizon.
