Aram Bartholl’s Project Map

Putting his work on the map artist Aram Bartholl has brought google’s destination pin to life. The physical red “boing” graphic corresponds to the size of a marker in the web interface in maximal zoom factor of the map. Project Map can be found in what the search engine deems the center of any particular city. Scratching our heads we take the opportunity to relate its point of interest with the interacting city life surrounding and more so, the gradual decrease of bustle as the radius extends out and beyond the city limits.
