Pulled that piece of gold right out of the neighbors trash. That’s right, the first years of our poor mans marriage was spent on a full sized mattress dumpster dive grade. Ignorance is bliss as all those years we had no clue what we were missing. Our minds were blown the day we finally purchased our first brand new queen perfectly firm, just enough plush. Take it from me, a good mattress is worth the investment.
In the world of Wade Guyton and Kelley Walker any mattress is worth the investment when it is a work of art. Rows of mattresses are stood upright to show off a unique collection of paintings by use of ink jet printer and scanner. The boys have been busy whisking in design combinations like no other. Similar to a glitch in the system this art makes no apologies interrupting cuts of fruit with graphic patterns, putting the pause button on an image to give us new perspectives. Their presence leads us in a trance to a state of hypnosis.
Wade Guyton and Kelley’ Walker’s work was recently shown at Kunsthaus Bregenz
