Aruliden’s JAQ: The World’s Smallest Portable Fuel Cell Charger

View all 9 Photos

Aruliden and myFC have paired up to create something that is rapidly becoming a necessity in our modern lives: a phone charger. Not only is this design portable, making it convenient for those times when there is no outlet in sight, but it is powered by fuel cells. JAQ uses a simple combination of water and salt to produce ready energy, meaning it never needs to be charged. A slim power card that easily slips on supplies all the energy your phone or tablet may need throughout the day as you slowly drain the battery scrolling through Facebook and GBlog. This efficient design takes the place for world’s smallest portable fuel cell charger; a smart choice for the design-conscious individual on the go.

While she works on her BFA in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she spends her (rare) spare time riding around Providence on her trusty Cannondale and drinking lots of coffee. As a lover of the natural world, Lizzie plans to focus on Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies to pursue a more efficient future for design. Read more by visiting her website
