HUVr presents itself as a gravity-defying development that would bring Back-to-the-Future-style hovercrafts to the market. Reportedly developed at the MIT Physics Graduate Program, the project seems to glide through the air, supposedly manipulating electricity and magnetism. Lauded by everyone from Christopher Lorrie to Tony Hawk as an unbelievable and smooth ride, the design was created in four retro styles and slated for release in December of this year. There’s just one caveat–the technology is fake. Hoverboards are still the stuff of science fiction, and the HUVr brand is a prank. Don’t want to believe it?
