Beautiful Frozen Bubbles Photographed by Angela Kelly

In this series of photographs, the Washington-based photographer Angela Kelly captures the wonder of frozen bubbles. Kelly started blowing bubbles to entertain her son and saw the opportunity for a photoshoot as well as a lesson in how water turns to ice. In freezing weather, each liquid sphere is crystallized to a beautiful result. The bubbles change into solids, falling to the ground and beginning to resemble etched glass. Sometimes, they shatter completely, but, often enough, they stay more or less intact and ornament the outdoor world.
