A subscription shaving kit by the Walker & Company Brands, Bevel is made especially for people with thick and curly hair. The service promises to eliminate irritation and clogging, two of the biggest concerns for people of color and others with coarse stubble. Bevel achieves these results by packaging a safety razor with quality oils to soften the hair and skin. The razor is double-edged, single-blade, and weighted with brass. Its accompaniments include spare blades; a badger-hair brush; a lavender and olive oil primer; a shaving cream with notes of aloe vera, shea butter, and white tea; and aftershave made from oat kernel, tea tree, and jojoba oil. The natural, nourishing blend of ingredients makes Bevel’s products more expensive but also more refreshing and, frankly, effective than those found in the regular razor-of-the-month club. The first month starter kit is priced at $59.95, and the subscriber receives refills and replacement blades every 90 days for a monthly cost of $29.95.
