Bird Feeder – Birdwalk By ODDO architects

Admiring the beauty of nature takes many forms, from landscape photography to poems about the sunrise or birdwatching. ODDO architects explores the latter with a conceptual design that takes inspiration both from classic bird habitats and a surprising source. Bird Feeder – Birdwalk recreates a fashion catwalk as a stage where different species of small birds can walk before taking flight. Under the watchful gaze of hobbyist birdwatchers, of course. The shape of the bird house provides a modern interpretation of the classic bird house design – a contemporary dwelling for the birds.

Elevated on three legs, Bird Feeder – Birdwalk provides a perfect view of the miniature ‘catwalk’, while also giving the birds a sense of safety. The stage extends from the main structure, offering the opportunity to spot robins, bluejays or even melodious blackbirds as they go in and out of the house. Inside, they can find a feeder as well as a small window. The opening not only allows them to look outside, but it also brings a bit of natural light inside. Photographs© Daniel Lívečka.
