Cabin on the Coast of Southern Sweden

Sommarhus Akenine is a summer house built on the coast of southern Sweden. The Johan Sundberg design is elevated atop three concrete beams for weather protection and improved views. The upper half of the cabin is clad in Siberian larch wood, with the notable exception of the sliding glass doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside, the wrap-around porch is an immediate draw, and its lack of railing puts one right on the edge of nature with no barriers. Inside, the kitchen is a standout, furnished with a wood burning stove and an indoor picnic bench, and decorated with colorful patterned walls. Photography by Peo Olsson
