The UNA is a cardboard chair by Paul Borrero of Neoforma Design. An industrial designer, Borrero embarked on this project because of his interest in cardboard as a sustainable material. Borrero handcrafts each chair in his Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, studio. UNA is made of corrugated cardboard that is 81% derived from recycled material. The cardboard gives the chair texture and a warm brown color, a handsome look for home or office, and a flexible frame that rocks, bends, and supports one’s lower back. Lightweight enough for almost anyone to carry, the chair can be easily moved throughout the house and disassembled for storage. The ergonomic design soon to be crowdfunded and sold in a run of fifty.
