Cardboard Portraits by Giles Oldershaw

Cardboard portraits by Giles Oldershaw lead us into the golden age. Using shadows to define his cuts, he carefully manipulates the layers in bound cardboard pieces to present a clear picture. The romance of the time is amplified by the ladies full lips and styled hair; likewise projecting jacket and tie office days as the gentlemen sport concentrated brows. A faint subliminal message is printed on many reminding us to “Please Recycle” as the artist has shown by example.
