Carrie LED Lamp By Norm Architects

The Danish concept of ‘hygge’ refers to a feeling of well-being, of comfort and happiness one feels while enjoying the little things in life or the company of family and good friends. The Carrie LED Lamp aims to be a part of those special moments and to create the perfect ambience, whether indoors or outdoors.

Designed by Danish studio Norm Architects for Menu, the lamp is based on the Carrie Lantern, but takes the mobile design further by including an internal LED light and rechargeable battery, along with a practical USB port that makes charging easy and convenient. The powder-coated steel base provides the foundation for the opaque opal glass shade that lends the LED a gorgeous glow, which can be adjusted in steps to create various intensities of ambient light. Even though it is specifically designed with portability in mind, which makes it ideal for trips on the beach or dinners in the garden, the Carrie LED Lamp can be also be transformed into a minimalist table lamp by simply removing the handle. Whether carried to a picnic away from home or used as a stationary light in a living room, Carrie is meant to brighten both special moments and the everyday. Buy here.
