Renovated by Miel Arquitectos and Studio P10, the Salva46 apartment is now designed for what the architects call “shared micro living.” This means that the updated space is compact and communal, so that two individuals can, in theory, live in the same small apartment without stepping on each other’s toes. There are two personal spaces, one on each side of the shared den and kitchen, where roommates can bond over the built-in island and wine rack. Each private space contains a bedroom, a bathroom, and a lofted study, accessible by ladder. The whole apartment, even the 19th century brickwork, is painted white, unifying the aesthetic and setting the stage for natural lighting to fill every room.
