Contemporary Home with 14 Facades

This woodsy home in Thuin, Belgium was created by m architecture using both high quality materials and economical best practices. The house is made of locally and sustainably sourced materials, mainly wood. Composed of several interconnected boxes, the structure boasts 14 facades yet was relatively simple to build and, from inside, progresses fluidly from one room to another. The contemporary, cabin-like design relies on natural lighting for much of its warm ambiance. Light streams in from the sliding glass doors and windows, some of which are small and square and others which are longer, elongated rectangles. The sunny spaces make a bright backdrop for details such as the antique furniture and yellow-painted shower.
