Boxes make for great storage, but not for travel. Baskets are good for both, but the handles are troublesome. Corkbox, a delightful and clever piece from Skram Furniture, provides a compact and sturdy alternative as a box-basket hybrid. As can be gleaned from its name, Corkbox is an open-top container made from high-density sustainably harvested cork, but its special feature is the H-shaped handle set below the box’s top edge. The nifty handle makes it easy to transport Corkbox from one place to another, and even outside courtesy of the durable walnut or European beech used for the handle and box base. The three sizes – small, large, and square – are conveniently suited to housing an endless variety of different wares.
