Craftica by Formafantasma and FENDI

In an exploration for the juxtaposition of leather craft with other hand crafted natural materials brought a unique body of work through the collaboration of  Italian design studio Formafantasma with Fendi to create Craftica. The tactile, visual and specific techniques of treating and designing with leather uprooted a passion and love for working with the material. Discarded leather from the FENDI manufacturing process was used to create all of these stunning objects. Innovative new forms were created from the marrying of leather with oxidized metal, glass, wood, marble and other unprocessed natural materials. This union is a true marvel in forming distinct objects that question where they first came from to then understand the beauty of their new form.
