Antonio De Marco was born in 1983 and started working in the fields of carpentry and mechanics from a young age. After studying at the Politecnico di Milano, he moved to Copenhagen to attend the Royal Danish Academy before returning to Milan to complete a master’s degree at the Marangoni Institute. He co-founded the 4P1B studio in 2009 and in 2017 established his eponymous design firm. Passionate about the way things work, Antonio De Marco explores new techniques and experimental designs to create timeless objects that gain more meaning and character with age. He operates in the fields of furniture and lighting design as well as interior design and industrial design. When not working in his studio, Antonio De Marco teaches in NABA’s Design Methodology Master program and at the Polytechnic School of Design.
