French designer Bastien Chapelle opened his own studio in 2017 after completing his studies at Strate School of Design and working with renowned designers in France and Finland. Inspired by his passion for industrial manufacturing processes, graphics, and collaborations with Indian artisans, the designer creates furniture and home accessories with a minimalist aesthetic and quality materials. His work often features slender shapes, curved forms, bold colors, and clean lines reminiscent of graphic design. In 2019, the designer participated in the French Design Incubator project that pairs French designers and manufacturers. Together with iRESISTUB, he created Elmer, a multi-functional desk and storage unit. Bastien Chapelle is currently based in Paris and La Rochelle.
