Bruno Helbling was born in Männedorf on Lake Zurich, Switzerland. Upon completing his photography studies at Berufsschule für Gestaltung in Zurich, he worked as an assistant before opening his own studio in 1998. Bruno Helbling’s projects range from architecture, interior design, and product design photography to advertising and editorials. Clients include both national and international studios, architects, and publications. Apart from his freelancing work, the photographer also works on personal projects. These range from series that explore the fate of former Olympic host cities, to landscapes in ski resorts, or abandoned building projects, among others. Bruno Helbling’s work has been published in numerous books as well as in national and international magazines. The latter category includes cover stories for publications such as Architectural Record, Elle Decoration, Domus, and Atrium.
