Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, EFFEKT (Danish for ‘impact’) is a studio that operates in a wide range of architectural fields. Founded by Tue Foged and Sinus Lynge in 2007, the firm employs around 40 architects and full time staff. The firm’s team aims to create a lasting positive impact with every project, whether it’s a private home, an education center, or an observation tower in a protected forest. EFFEKT completes many types of projects, from residential and commercial to public, cultural, and landscape architecture, urbanism, and research. The studio’s clients include world-renowned names like IKEA and Carlsberg as well as institutions like The Danish Arts Foundation. EFFEKT’s work has received many prestigious awards, including the Golden Lion at the 2006 Venice Biennale and ICONIC Awards in the ‘Best of the Best’ category in 2017 and 2019.
