Fiona Dunin is an Australian architect and interior designer. After studying interior design at RMIT, graduating in 1993, she completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University of Melbourne in 1998. In 2005, she founded FMD Architects. The ward-winning studio’s portfolio comprises both architecture and interior design projects, with a focus on telling a story. Site sensitive and detail oriented, the firm’s work also champions sustainability and environmentally friendly design. Fiona Dunin’s vast experience in diverse projects that range from residential properties to institutional and retail projects allows the studio to create rich, imaginative spaces. FMD Architects’ work as been published widely in international publications and has been exhibited in Australia and around the world, including at the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale.
