Héctor Esrawe was born in 1968 in Mexico City. After he graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) in 1992, he remained at the university as a design professor until 2001. In 2003, he established his multidisciplinary design firm, Esrawe Studio. The practice operates in a wide range of fields, from furniture, product, and interior design to architecture, and public installations. Sculptural, minimalist, and always full of character, the designer’s work balances modern sophistication with organic materials and textures. Héctor Esrawe has received many international awards for his work, including the Red Dot Award, Frame Award, and Green Good Design Award. His designs have been exhibited around the world and have been included in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Apart from running his own design practice, Héctor Esrawe has also co-founded EWE, Vissio, Masa, and Casa del Agua.
