Keiji Ashizawa was born in 1973. After completing his studies in 1996, he started working in architecture studios while also sharpening his furniture crafting skills. In 2005, he opened his own firm, Keiji Ashizawa Design. The designer follows an “honest design” philosophy throughout his work, from product design to architectural projects. His studio collaborates with renowned clients, from IKEA and Menu to Dior and Miyake Design Studio. Keiji Ashizawa has received many awards for his product design and architecture work, including the AIA National Architecture Award in 2010 (with Peter Stutchbury Architecture) and the Good Design Award.
