Born in a small town in Ohio, Seth Grizzle went on to study at Kent State University where he met Jonathan Junker. The two architects and designers co-founded Graypants in 2007, a design studio that now has offices in Seattle and Amsterdam. Soon after establishing Graypants, the duo launched the first collection, the Scraplights series. Made from recycled corrugated cardboard, the pendant lights provided a creative take on eco-friendly design. The line became a huge success and expanded to include various pendant shapes, sizes, and colors. Currently, the Graypants collection includes artistic, industrial, and minimalist lighting designs. In 2013, Graypants received the AIA Honor Award for Garage, the architects’ debut architectural project.
