Thomas Feichtner is an award-winning product designer and head of the Institute of Industrial Design at the FH-Joanneum in Graz, Austria. Born in 1970, he studied Industrial Design at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz, graduating in 1995. Two years later, he established his eponymous design studio. A prolific designer, he has created products for many international brands, including adidas, Head, Swarovski, and Absolut, among others. Thomas Feichtner’s work blurs the line between traditional craftsmanship, mass production, and bespoke objects. His designs have received many prestigious awards, including the iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, Good Design Award, German Design Award, and the Austrian State Prize for Design. He currently lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
