Cross-Laminated Timber Cottage in Quebec

This single-bedroom cottage was designed by Kariouk Architects in Ladysmith, Quebec, Canada. Clad in horizontal planks of wood, the small building is divided into two sections with the public areas marked from the outside in dark gray and the bedroom and bathroom externally indicated in white. Inside, there is a timber-lined, open plan kitchen and lounge with a wood-fired stove. The comforting space offers many views of the surrounding landscape through the floor-to-ceiling which face the porch and the lake.
