Much like the Dome + Lamp, the Curl Up + vases designed by Paper Up! founder Rita Koralevics combine industrial and organic accents in minimalist designs. Inspired by the round silhouette of the HUG lamps, the vases have an elegantly curved shape. Horizontal and vertical lines divide the surface according to the golden ratio, thus creating a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing design.
Handcrafted from recycled materials, each vase is one of a kind. The artist and designer uses a blend of paper, cement, dust, pigment, and sawdust to create various colors and textures. The result is modern and minimal, yet organic at the same time. Creative and eye-catching, the objects can even be used on their own as sculptural pieces. But they truly come to life when paired with plants that accentuate their industrial charm further. Photography by: Ákos Sarkadi-Tóth.
