Šercel Švec

Bratislava, Slovakia

Šercel Švec is a Bratislava architecture studio that prizes clear ideas over showy moves. Led by partners Michal Šercel and Peter Švec, the team combines fresh graduates and seasoned site-hands in one room, pushing sketches until structure, budget, and landscape line up. The aim is architecture that looks simple because every detail has done its homework.

Projects range from hillside houses cut to local stone modules, to timber-framed schools that open like porches onto play yards, to crisp office fit-outs where daylight does most of the decorating. Each job starts with a walk of the site and a candid talk with the client about needs, means, and future maintenance. Design, approvals, construction drawings, and on-site checks stay under one roof, so the first concept survives the last coat of paint.

Šercel Švec believes a building should feel inevitable once it’s there—settled into the street or the field as if it grew on purpose. That sense of rightness comes from honest materials, measured proportions, and a quiet respect for the lives that will fill the space.
