For water sports enthusiasts, a stylish, yet masculine watch may be all the encouragement needed to take to the ocean with a newfound attitude and confidence. Designers at Ermenegildo Zegna have teamed up with Swiss watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux to bring a notably modern and sporty look to their line. The watch possesses the finesse of the Italian fashion label’s reputation, yet the bold numbering and markings on the face and bezel of the watch lend an impression of durability and reliability. One of the most unique features of the 42mm steel-cased diving watch is the design of the clock hands. Instead of matching the minute and hour hand, the former is crafted as the sword silhouette while the latter assumes the snakehead shape. A pointed second hand completes the set, bearing the same red outline as seen on the numbers painting the watch face. The extravagance of the watch is not to undercut the performance and functionality of the watch; it is slated to withstand up to 30 atmospheres of pressure, which translates to a depth of 300 meters. As with all Zegna pieces, a signature “EZ” is branded on the silver crown, a kingly mark of excellence for this regal watch.
