Fine Wooden Pens Made in Germany

These wooden pens are Siebensachen designs by Adam + Harborth, the German studio behind the Mozartkugel Music Box, among other fine objects. The unique writing instruments were made in Germany by e+m Holzprodukte, a family business dating back more than 100 years. Though the company originally specialized in pen holders, they rebranded after their production line was destroyed in WWII and began to create instead the technical wooden turnings that were in demand. Then, in the 1980s, the fourth and current owner started crafting pens again, re-establishing e+m Holzprodukte as an international leader in luxury pen manufacturing.

Adam + Harborth’s line of pens includes a bevy of bold designs. Each of these styles contrasts metallic and matte materials for a luxurious visual and tactile experience. The pens pair woods such as oak, maple, walnut, and zebrano with metals such as nickel and polished or aged brass. For an even richer touch, the Melange edition is also embellished with a soft leather grip. Regardless of style, each of the pens glides across the page on a ballpoint tip and takes Parker-type ink refills. Four unique designs—the Bow, the Melange, the Drake, and the Arrow—are now available on GSelect.
