Inspired by Londoner Frederick H. Grubb (Olympic road racing cyclist in 1912), Freddie Grubb is a bike brand based in London, launched in July 2015. “Our bicycles are all about detail,” says co-founder Malcolm Harding “They are designed and built in London with handmade frames and quality components. A contemporary interpretation of the traditional town bike.”
Each Freddie Grubb model has Porteur or swept handlebars, for a more responsive handling and road command. The 2-speed models feature the Automatix hub which will change gear automatically based on your speed (available also the i-MOTION 3 speed with a reliable twist shift mechanism, for hillier grounds).
You can find your favourite model on their website or pop in their brand new store on Amwell Street, in London’s Islington, where, other than the bikes you will be able to admire contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories too.
