Zanocchi & Starke is a young Italian-Brazilian design studio based in Turin. Their latest collection, Frida, includes a stool and a side table. The series is demountable, making the pieces customizable, highly versatile, and easy to assemble, move, and store. The Frida side tables are each held together by a bright red butterfly screw, visible underneath the tabletop. When unscrewed, the design reveals its simple construction: two nesting leg pieces that interlock with the dot-patterned tabletop. The interlock mechanism makes this side table more sturdy than many designs of its ilk. Made of solid wood, the design is sure to last. Catch a glimpse of the design in real life at Commines–Paris until September 13th for Paris Design Week 2014.
