Functional Concrete Home Decor

These cool objects are part of the first collection of solid concrete designs by Frenchmen Bertrand Jayr and Lyon Béton.
The Pipeline vase seemingly flows into the architecture of the home. It mounts to the wall and holds a single stem within the accompanying test tube insert. The strength of the concrete contrasts with the delicacy of the flowers, creating a display that’s as contradictory as any urban nature found outdoors. Available here.

The Brain is an anatomical design with the two separate halves. They function as bookends, framing the written words that nourish the mind.

The Cloud is a wall mounted storage and display unit with cumulus-like scallops that perfectly fit toilet paper rolls. With this design, bathroom supplies no longer have to hide in storage. Available here.

The Folder is a sturdy magazine rack in the shape of a manila folder. Buy here.

The Nuclear Plant echoes the iconic form of a nuclear cooling tower. Reimagining the same shape as a floor planter, the Jayr and Béton’s version is a peaceful alter ego. Etched with vectors, the design is reinforced with geometric beauty.
