German Family Home with a Porsche Room

The T-Bone House Space Sculpture by Coast Office Architecture is an eccentric family home in the countryside of in Stuttgart, Germany. Built among an orchard, the Rems Valley home prioritizes the garden view, introducing glass-walled rooms on two levels and on either side of the construction. These rooms shine with contemporary elegance, thanks to details such as brown slate flooring, seamlessly built-in cabinets, and button tufted fabric wall panels. Each common area features a different centerpiece, whether it’s a hanging fireplace or a 1974 Porsche Targa. The kitchen is an inspired spaces as well. Dubbed “Captain Kirk’s Kitchen,” the room references Star Trek, reimagining a cooking island as a command bridge and a window as an observation deck. Futuristically angular and stark, this minimalist space is one of the most appealing parts of the house. Upstairs, there are bedrooms and a sauna tucked away behind a T-shape of wood cladding. Outside, the terrace and driveway provides an intermediary area between the home and garden.
