Glass Sanctuaries for Endangered Plant Species

Designed by Morgan Ruben Jansen op de Haar and sponsored by Fraunhofer COMEDD, Sanctuaria is a series of safe displays for endangered plants. Like time capsules, the micro environments conserve. Their particular use is to preserve endangered species found in tropical rain forests. There are mini, reclining, and suspended versions, each of which is outfitted with elements such as wooden stands and brass lamps. All are made of glass that was blown at the Utrecht University Glassworkshop.
