“Graffiti a New York” by Andrea Nelli, Reissued

Next Friday, April 13th the guys at Spectrum will host the reissue launch of the iconic book “Graffiti a New York“. The first edition which is considered one of the first books ever about graffiti and street art, was published in 1978 by Andrea Nelli.

In his early twenties, after a trip to New York, Nelli decided to focus his thesis on the early stirrings of the graffiti scene, a year before the book of the iconic Jon Naar, “The Faith of Graffiti” was released. With the explosion of the phenomenon in the following years, in 1978 Nelli decide to publish his book  ‘Graffiti in New York’  a well rounded and structured selection showcasing the original material collected five years earlier in collaboration with New York’s old school street artist icon COCO 144

After more than 30 years, Whole Train Press and Andrea Caputo have collaborated to create the first new edition of the book, which will be officially presented next Friday. If you are in Milano don’t miss it!
