GreenCase by Mika Becktor

Forget about the fancy neoprene laptop cases and consider GreenCase, a green alternative that prioritizes the environment and user experience. Designer Mika Becktor handcrafts these laptop cases from her studio in Savannah, Georgia, and conceived the idea when considering a single-sheet construction that protects the laptop as well as serves as a portable workstation. The case is made from a sheet of corrugated cardboard cut in a cross-type silhouette so that each of the extending panels fold up to encase the laptop as an envelope folds over a letter. In fact, this “envelope” analogy fits GreenCase wonderfully, for the case can accommodate letter, legal, and A4-sized documents and appropriately has a string-and-button closure. When used as the workstation, GreenCase can be reconfigured to form an angled base while the other flaps of the case can be used as a makeshift mouse pad. One of the fun features of GreenCase is its writing surface; a few colored markers are all that is needed to personalize the look, and the entire case is a canvas for the creative or a notepad for the corporate.

If you are in for a treat, take a look at The GenuineCase, is the executive version of the GreenCase, it is hand made from vegetable tanned tooling leather finished with vegetable based oils and leather balm. This product will undoubtedly outlive your apple laptop.
