Hand-Stamped Hemp Pillows by Alburno

View all 12 Photos

New from Alburno by Nicolo’ Bottarelli, Primari is a collection of pillows printed with scenes from ancient life. The throw pillows are made of hemp fabric, which was manufactured by the artisan workshop Bertozzi. Alburno then stamped the fabric with original illustrations by Ilaria Faccioli. Playfully depicting scenes of early people in nature, the stamps tell a story and give the design a homemade feel. The stamps themselves were handcrafted from metal and pear wood, an Italian take on the nearly universal tradition of printing. To be released October 15, 2014, the decorative pillows come in traditional black, indigo, and rust colors. Pre-order from Alburno for 90€.
