If walls could speak, what stories would they tell? Perhaps the memories of days gone by, and the laughter of family and friends that used to fill the halls. Peter Haimerl Architektur embraces the history embedded in an old farmhouse in Munich, Germany: Celia. Harbour Me, Celia! is a celebration of the tradition of farmhouses in the Bavarian forests. The structural elements of Celia are all preserved in their state as the counterpart to new volumes, which divide the house into separate rooms. The visual grafting of the aged wood and the stark white concrete physically embody the bridge being built between old and new.
