Her Majesty’s Pleasure is an experimental day spa offering a touch of nightlife. The Canadian establishment includes the beauty salon alongside a café, retail boutique, bar, all housed on the ground level of a swanky condominium building in Toronto. Designed by the Canadian firm +tongtong, the hybrid space is unified by its bright palette and modern decor. Under the pitched roof and high ceilings, one will find shades of white and gray alongside flourishes of yellow and purple. The blend of neutral tones and vivid color welcomes guests to a wide-ranging experience of relaxation and luxury. The four sections of Her Majesty’s Pleasure are richly textured with materials such as marble, slate, ceramic, glass, steel, copper, wood, and leather. Interior glass windows, for instance, frame the beauty bar while keeping the barrier transparent, so there’s plenty of opportunity for people-watching and ogling the architecture. Connecting wellness, lifestyle, and design in a fresh way, the salon is altogether an inspiration.
