Hills Bottle Holder

Inspired by the hills and the vineyards that provide the source for the beloved varieties of Portuguese wine, the Hills bottle holder blends function and a beautiful story in its graceful design. The piece is designed by Gonçalo Campos for &Blanc as part of an intriguing collection of products. The range aims to showcase the possibilities of an ingenious material as well as the talent of young Portuguese designers.

Made of Corian, the bottle opener makes the most of the material’s numerous advantages. The versatile material features a blend of acrylic resin and natural minerals. Moldable but highly resistant to damage and impact, easy to modify and to cut like a piece of paper yet also strong enough to hold several wine bottles, Corian offers a great opportunity to create sculptural designs. Hills illustrates this perfectly. The flowing lines pay homage to Portugal’s beloved landscapes and vineyards, while the minimal aesthetic is distinctly modern. When in use, the holder gives the impression of molding itself on the curves of the bottles, but in reality it offers strong support and impressive resistance to dents. Apart from being practical and elegant, the design tells a story. It connects the sun-drenched vineyards and hills with the final product – fragrant bottles of wine.
