Home Office: Homework Desk by Tomas Kral

It is not uncommon for coins or other small knickknacks to fall between the cracks bordering the cushions on a sofa. This image of the coincidental nuisance is transformed into a convenience in Tomas Kral’s work table, Homework. The ash wood table is extended by an aluminum sheet that is folded to create a trough around the table’s edges, effectively forming an inclined sill for books, writing tools, and other useful objects. The simple design eliminates the need for drawers under the work table by throwing the contents of the desk into plain view. Perfect for the minimalist workspace.
