House in Chiharada by Studio Velocity

View all 14 Photos

This dreamy home was done by Studio Velocity in the Okazaki, Japan. The structure was divided into two parts, a round volume and a square counterpart. Both are decorated with a palette of optic white paint and rich brown wood, which shine in the sunlight. The round building is of particular interest. There are multiple staircases connecting ground floor and second level, a feature which seems cumbersome but enhances both the intricate look and the privacy of the individual sleeping areas. Furthermore, every room opens opens up to face a section of the garden, which snakes around both halves of the house, filling the odd corners with greenery.
